PROJECT SUMMARY

SDG is a trusted supplier to the N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramoge Road Scheme in County Roscommon.

The 33.4km Type 1 Single Carriageway was designed to improve regional connectivity and ease congestion by bypassing Strokestown, Tulsk and Ballaghaderreen.

THE CHALLENGE

This major infrastructure scheme presented significant technical demands due to the scope of the works.

This included:

5,000,000m³ of excavation
Construction of 4 river bridges, 14 culverts, 3 road underbridges
9 farm underpasses and 290m of reinforced retaining walls
