PROJECT SUMMARY

Set within landscaped grounds, and commanding a striking position within The Campus, Elavon Block F1, newly leased will be at core of this business park for years to come.

Rising 5 stories in height, block F1 features a 6,244m² gross floor area. Leading architects Henry J Lyons was behind the design of the project.

THE CHALLENGE

GD Ceilings contacted SDG requesting proposals for the acoustic fit-out of the Evalon F1 office block. GD Ceilings provided plans in conjunction with a partnering architect which depicted the project specification.

The challenge here was to come up with a solution that would allow for ease of fitting, allowing the contractor to safeguard the project schedule.

OUR SOLUTION

Together with Vogl, we proposed the use of bespoke preformed ceiling rafts. These were a project specific design, which would work to improve efficiencies on site.

SDG coordinated the supply of all products to site on a continuous basis, using our own fleet to maximize control over deliveries in terms of timing, and safety.

THE RESULTS

With the use of the bespoke rafts, SDG were able to save GD Ceilings valuable time and labor. We supplied over 1000m² of Vogl board to site, with each board individually labelled for install. The labelling of each board worked to make install as efficient as possible for the site team.

The floating ceiling boards have improved the sound absorption and thus selectively contribute to improved room acoustics, doing this while also adding an aesthetically pleasing design for Elavon’s new offices.
