Koster Repair Mortar Plus

Substrate

The surface has to be sound and clean, free of oil and grease. The material can be applied to all mineral substrates. Before installing fillets on the outside of basement walls, brush KÖSTER NB 1 Grey (consumption approx. 4 kg / m2) onto the fillet’s substrate.

When installing mortars substrate preparation is of vital importance. Pre-wet all mineral substrates before the installation of KÖSTER Repair Mortar Plus. The surface near pore structure must be saturated, (avoiding standing water and puddles) so that it does not absorb water from the applied mortar. Highly absorbent substrates can be primed with KÖSTER Polysil TG 500.

Application

Mix each 25 kg bag with 2.5 – 3.2 l of water. The pot life of the material is approximately 10 – 15 min.

PCC Mortar

Mix 25 kg of KÖSTER Repair Mortar with 2.5 l water + 800 ml of KÖSTER SB Bonding Emulsion. Place 3⁄4 of the liquid into a mixingvessel of sufficient size and add the powder in portions while continually mixing with a slow rotating electrical mixer. Add the remaining 1⁄4 of liquid as needed during mixing to adjust the mortar to the desired consistency. Mix until a homogeneous, lump-free consistency is reached. Mixing time is approx. 3 minutes.
