Louise expressed her delight to be invited to speak at the event, commenting “International Women in Engineering Day is a fantastic initiative to inspire the female engineers of the future and ignite a passion for engineering.

I’m delighted to support Design ID with the event; it’s sure to be a fun day out for the students”.

Design ID extends an invitation to all schools to participate in this exciting event. Spaces are still available and interested schools can secure their spots by contacting [email protected].

The workshop promises to be an excellent opportunity for young women to explore the world of construction and engineering and get inspired to pursue a fulfilling career in these fields.

By organising such events and creating spaces for young women to interact with industry professionals, Design ID and other organisations continue to play a crucial role in bridging the gender gap in engineering.

Their efforts align with the broader objectives of International Women in Engineering Day, which seeks to challenge stereotypes, break barriers, and create an environment that fosters equal opportunities for all aspiring engineers, regardless of gender.

The workshop not only provides a platform for students to engage with professionals but also offers an opportunity to explore various engineering disciplines, understand the practical applications of engineering principles, and gain insights into the diverse range of career paths available within the industry.

By participating in hands-on activities, attendees can enhance their problem-solving skills, creativity, and critical thinking abilities, essential attributes for success in the engineering field.

Moreover, the workshop also presents a chance for the students to network and build connections with like-minded peers and potential mentors, further expanding their horizons and opening doors to future collaborations. Such connections can prove invaluable as they navigate their educational and professional journeys, providing support, guidance, and inspiration along the way.

As the workshop unfolds, participants will have the opportunity to explore Design ID’s state-of-the-art projects, witness innovative engineering solutions in action, and gain a deeper understanding of the practical applications of their academic knowledge.

By showcasing the real-world impact of engineering, Design ID aims to ignite the participants’ curiosity and passion, encouraging them to consider the profound difference they can make by pursuing a career in this field.

In addition to the engaging activities and enlightening presentations, the workshop offers the chance to win exciting prizes. These incentives further enhance the students’ motivation and interest in exploring the various aspects of engineering and construction.

The prizes act as a testament to the industry’s recognition of the potential and talent present among young women and reinforce the importance of their contributions to the future of engineering.
