Underscreed Acoustics

It is installed as a loose lay application with peripheral isolation strips running up the wall in order to eliminate potential flanking noise issues and with a Polyethylene membrane laid on top (loose) to eliminate any potential sound bridge issues by isolating the in-situ pour of a cementitious screed from other structural components within the Floor system proposed.

Please also note that as well as providing impressive “Impact” sound reduction results the DAMTEC® acoustic underlay product also caters for the other important component associated with under screed/mass applications – Dynamic stiffness performance. It is also particularly quick and easy to install as a loose lay application, in most instances and provides extremely high resistance to compressive loads and has outstanding elasticity. This product also possesses excellent rot-degradation qualities. It is equally well suited for applications in residential, office and commercial buildings.

The DAMTEC® underlay is compliant to the new BCA regulations for impact Noise.
