Installation and Maintenance of KÖSTER CT 215 Universal Floor

Installation Process

The installation of the KÖSTER UF System is a structured process that ensures optimal performance. Suitable substrates include concrete and screed as well as mineral plasters.

• The substrates must be free of laitance, dust, oils and greases. Damp substrates are suitable for coating, however there must be no permanent moisture acting on the back, e.g. in the form of pressurised water.
• It begins with surface preparation, which is crucial for adhesion. The surface must be prepared by suitable means preferably shotblasting, milling or grinding. (See the downloadable document below for more information)
• This is followed by the application of a primer, tailored to the specific substrate. (See the downloadable document below for more information)
• KÖSTER CT 215 Universal Floor is applied to the surface (after 4 hours but no later than 24 hours after application of the primer or the levelling coat).
• With a resin roller integrate any additional elements like anti-slip granules or decorative chips as required.
• The system is then sealed again with KÖSTER CT 215 to ensure durability and resistance.
