User guide

  • Ensure that the tank has been filled with water before switching the power on. If this advice is disregarded the tank will inevitably suffer damage.
  • The water temperature in the tank should be between 18oC and 22oC for curing test specimens for strength tests, as specified in BS EN 12350-1:2009.
  • The temperature should be checked before placing specimens in the water.
  • To adjust the operating temperature of the tank the electricity supply must be disconnected prior to opening the element housing.

  • The heating element has a metal housing cover. Underneath this housing there is thermostat, accessible by undoing the nut that holds the housing in place.
  • Use a screwdriver to adjust the temperature, clockwise to increase and anticlockwise to reduce it.
  • Check that the tank is operating at the desired temperature before placing specimens in the water.
